What Makes Us Unique

In a nutshell

Surrounded by royal parkland, peaceful ponds and gardens, Kensington Palace is beyond breathtaking - it is a statement of elegance - a magical, enchanting palace wedding venue that is full of romance and history. Its character and undeniable charm has been shaped by everyone who has played a part in its history - the artists and craftsmen who have worked on it and, of course, its former residents, which include Princess Diana.

The history
Built in the 17th century by William III, Kensington Palace has seen centuries of high society life unfold within its walls. George II made it central to his court life; Queen Victoria was born there; and politicians, courtiers and intellectuals have visited, all vying for royal favour. It was the focal point of London's most spectacular social events, and now this historic palace can play its part in your history. Hire it for your wedding day and have one of London's most celebrated palaces as the backdrop for your wedding.
Elegant Spaces
Formalise your marriage and celebrate your day in your chosen space within the palace:
The Entrance Hall - located at the palace's heart, it offers a hub of spaces.
The Grand Hall - opening out onto the East Front Gardens, it can hold up to 140 for a seated dinner and up to 300 guests for a reception.
The King's Gallery - full of wow, the King's Gallery is hung with the stunning artwork and has a deeply regal feel. It's grand windows offer magnificent views across the grounds.
The Pavilion - this elegant, glass-fronted space is available in all seasons and temporarily replaces the Orangery (which is unavailable until 2021). It features a covered terrace and can host dinners of up to 300 guests and receptions of up to 800. The Terrace overlooks the gardens and the East façade of Kensginton Palace itself.
Gardens - the palace's lush gardens are also available to hire for outdoor wedding receptions of up to 80 guests (in the Sunken Garden) or up to 1, 000 on the Orangery lawn.
